Welcome to the STEPS4EU Erasmus+ project
The Project
Objectives
The main objective of the project STEPS4EU is to improve the performance and the overall success in delivering engineering projects all over the EU, enhancing transversal competencies of professional engineers and engineering students and, consequently, the engineering and technical personnel employed by enterprises all throughout the EU and current project managers or project team members of those engineering projects.
Implementation
The project consists of three major work packages:
- WP2: Definition of the competency baseline and investigation on new competencies; methodologies: survey and focus groups analysis
- WP3: drafting a curriculum for filling competence gaps; methodology: survey.
- WP4: Developing a handbook and "knowledge capsules"; methodology: training and teaching experimental classes.
Results
The project will produce 4 main results:
- at the end of WP2, a "Report of the overall situation of the baseline competencies in EU with a section for each country"
- at the end of WP3, a "Report on the gaps detected and a definition of the curriculum needed to fill the gaps".
- at the end of WP4, a "Handbook on new perspectives for engineering curricula, how to implement, and how to apply thwm to all EU countries"
- plus "Knowledge capsules" which will ultimately improve project delivery across the EU.
